A huge triceratops, dramatic stilt walkers and baby dinosaurs are all set to descend on Trinity Walk on Saturday August 28 for a major free event.
We've joined forces with Wakefield BID (Business Improvement District) to host their next free event which will feature animal inspired stilt walker shows, music, baby dinosaur petting and mini shows from 12pm to 4pm that day.
It's part of Wakefield BID's celebrations around the Festival of the Earth that's happening throughout the summer which features a free to see 7 metre wide replica of the Earth at Wakefield Cathedral and amazing light show at the old market hall opposite us.
The event is free, will take place in the square outside New Look/Costa/old Debenhams and will feature:
12.00pm - Stilt walkers out promoting the next dino show until 12.20pm
12.00pm - 12.25pm Acoustic performances singing children’s and pop classics while stilt walkers promote for show.
12.25pm - Fire performance featuring entertainer singing Frozen before ice queen comes out to put ice blanket on fire
12.30pm - Elsa introduces dinosaurs who appear for show with meet and greets until 1pm
The whole experience is then repeated at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm, ending at around 4pm.
Huge thanks to Wakefield BID for making this happen.
